Test Consultancy (ENG)

The IT career of Eric started in 1995 with programming followed by testing,  advanced testing and the training of junior testers and users of software applications.  As a Senior Test Consultant, he is specialized in the management of test projects,  writing Master and Detail test plans. Eric is also hands-on in writing test specifications  and automated test scripts. He has good knowledge about the usage of administration  tools like Jira and Confluence.

He also has a lot of experience with creating automated test scripts concerning  testing web services and web interfaces. For test automation, Eric uses software  tools like qTest, Parasoft, SoapUI, Robot Framework and HP-ALM.  When creating those scripts, security is an important subject during these  developments. Functional Acceptance Testing is a wonderful thing to do.  You will learn a lot about the functionality of the software application and the  opportunity to determine the test phases with the functional owners of the application.  Finally, you’ll also get to educate the functional owners of the application which is  one of the biggest challenges concerning the test profession. Eric's ambition for  the future is to focus on Agile & Scrum, DEVOPS and CI/CD pipelines testing.  Further TPI (Test Process Improvement). Eric plans to use these methods in  combination with the creation of automated test scripts.

Test Advisering (NL)

Eric is een testprofessional met een scherp oog voor kwaliteit en veel ervaring in het opstellen van testspecificaties op basis van functionele beschrijving. Eric heeft een sterk technische achtergrond en is daardoor inzetbaar op zowel waterval als moderne ontwikkeltrajecten. Zo heeft hij bijvoorbeeld ook kennis van test automatisering en beveiligingsleer. Voorbeelden van Test Automation tools waar Eric ervaring mee heeft zijn: Q-test, Parasoft, SOAP-UI, Robot Framework en HP-ALM. Daarnaast maakt Eric gebruik van administratietools zoals Jira en Confluence. 

Bij het ontwikkelen van testscripts, is beveiliging een belangrijk item. Met Functionele Testen en Gebruikers Acceptatie Testen heeft Eric goede en uitgebreide ervaring. Tijdens deze testen in goede afstemming met de Stakeholders van het project essentieel. Daarnaast is het belangrijk dat tijdens deze testen de gebruikers opgeleid worden wat de functionele werkwijze van de applicatie gaat worden. Dit is één van de leukste onderdelen van de Gebruikers Acceptatie Testen. De ambitie van Eric is om organisaties te ondersteunen in de volgende werkwijze zoals: Agile & Scrum, DEVOPS en CI/CD pipelines en de toepassing van TPI (Test Process Improvement). Eric kan snel inschatten wat nodig is en is proactief in het verkrijgen van informatie. Zijn sterke kant is het luisteren naar de klant en dan bepalen wat nodig is om de gewenste kwaliteit te bereiken binnen de kaders van beschikbare tijd en budget. Illustratief voor dit klantgericht denken zijn de door Eric behaald Nima diploma’s. Eric is ook zeer geschikt om junior testers op te leiden of collega’s te begeleiden in nieuwe testtrajecten.
